As such i keep constantly getting reminders and notifications from Outlook on overdue appointments, meetings and tasks which is kind of overwhelming.

How to turn on / off reminders and reminder sound in Outlook? Reminder is a cool tool to remind you something in Microsoft Outlook on time. However, sometimes it is a litter inconvenient that the Reminder pops up expectedly and interrupt your work.
Once i get a reminder, i typically dismiss it one by one, or dismiss them all. I guess my question is how to disable Outlook calendar reminders so i won’t need to get rid of them manually. I am using Outlook 365 on a Windows 10 computer. Thanks for the nice question. Although you are using Windows, i have added another section that will be helpful for macOS users. Login to your Outlook Web Access site. Select the gear icon located at the upper-right corner, then choose “ Options“.
Select “ Settings” on the left pane. Scroll down to the “ message options” section, and select or de-select “ Play a sound when new items arrive” as desired.FAQI don’t have these options. Why can’t I find this setting? You are probably using an older version of Outlook like 2007 or 2003. Under those versions you go to “ Tools” “ Options“ “ Preferences” “ E-mail Options“ “ Advanced E-mail Options“ “ When new items arrive in my Inbox“ “ Play a sound”. After an upgrade of OWA I no longer get the ping sounds when email arrives. I went into Settings Email, but Message Options do not have an option to play a sound when email arrives.
Did the new OWA discontinue this??? It used to be really helpful: I could work in full-screen mode, and be notified when I got an email, so I could reply to support issues.
Now I have to “poll” — keep switching to the OWA dialog to see if I got an email. And my response time to support inquiries is a lot slower. Is there a fix for this, short of getting a second monitor?.Preston Shirmeyer says.
